NaVarrio D. Wilkerson received his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School. While at Wayne State University, he clerked for multiple judges at the Michigan Tax Tribunal Courts and worked with local nonprofit entities to develop 501(c)3 status. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Policy, and earned a specialization in Chinese language and culture from Michigan State University’s prestigious James Madison College.
After graduating from Michigan State University, NaVarrio was handpicked to work as an English teacher for Harvard University’s first World Teach program in Hunan, China. There, he was the first foreign teacher to participate in evaluations of native Chinese English teachers, as well as the first non-native teacher to participate in local meetings conducted in local dialects. He was later awarded with the Outstanding Teaching Award by China’s Ministry of Education, prior to pursuing his goals of practicing law. Since then, he has leveraged his international study and work experience to assist clients and resolve legal matters in Chicago.
NaVarrio is an experienced litigation attorney. He is a member of the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Bar. Before joining Disparti Law Group Accident & Injury Lawyers, he practiced in a variety of civil legal matters; these include foreclosure defense, landlord tenant issues, consumer law, bankruptcy, contract law, and employment issues in federal and state court. NaVarrio has successfully enforced, negotiated, and settled civil judgments of high value cases in state and federal court. He now focuses exclusively on labor and employment issues, fighting for clients’ rights throughout Illinois.
