John P. Kolb is a 1994 graduate, Magna Cum Laude, of Northern Illinois University College of Law. For his entire legal career, John has represented parties to personal injury, worker’s compensation and civil litigation cases. As a lawyer, John has recovered more than $35 million for injured clients, and has successfully handled more than 1,000 legal claims.

John has won appellate decisions before the Illinois Appellate Courts in the First and Second Districts of Illinois.  He is authorized to practice before all Illinois State Courts, The Northern Illinois Federal District Court and the Illinois Worker’s Compensation Commission. John has been a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers’ Association and the American Bar Association. The court venues most served by John have been Cook and its collar county areas.

John remains an active alum of Northern Illinois College of Law, and is a frequent judge for the NIU-COL Moot Court Society. During law school, John was a member of the National Moot Court Team and a captain of the National Mock Trial Team. John was named the best oral advocate and the winner of best brief in his NIU-COL Annual Spring Moot Court Competition.

John has been a life-long resident of Lake County, Illinois and resides with his wife and his three children in Grayslake, Illinois.
