CHICAGO, IL (June 19, 2024) — Attorney Larry Disparti and the Disparti Law Group is proud to announce its sponsorship of Olympic hopeful, Kyla Robinson-Hubbard as she competes in the 2024 U.S. Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon.
Robinson-Hubbard ranked #5 in the nation throughout the track season and placed in the top rankings in the 2024 Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Her outstanding performance in the 400m Hurdles earned her a spot in the 2024 U.S Olympic qualifying rounds.
The 8-day competition will span across 10 days beginning Friday, June 21 and ending June 30 with many of the best athletes in the world fighting for the right to compete at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Kyla’s participation in this event highlights her status as one of the elite athletes in the country, and Disparti Law Group is excited to be part of this significant milestone in her career.
Robinson-Hubbard has been preparing for this moment since she began running track at the age of 9. Her journey has taken her across the country, competing in various invitationals and track meets, including the Jr. Olympics.
“I found love within the sport, it was just something I loved to do,” says Robinson-Hubbard. “I never knew how far it would take me.”
She spent part of her childhood in Woodridge, IL, a suburb of Chicagoland, where she made a lasting impact at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School. As an inductee into the school’s hall of fame, Kyla remains an inspiration to many who followed in her footsteps. While attending Calabasas High School, she was #1 in the State of California for the 300m hurdles.
For her high school achievements, Kyla received a full scholarship to Texas Christian University and later transferred to Tennessee University (TU) where she recently completed her collegiate career. This strategic move allowed her to compete with her world-class relay team which secured the National Runner-Up title in the Women’s 4×4 Relay this year.
“At Disparti Law Group, we make it our mission to recognize big wins by our community’s athletes,” says Attorney Larry Disparti, founder of Disparti Law Group. “Kyla’s work ethic and drive emulates our own team’s spirit. We look forward to witnessing all she will accomplish in her career.”
“What motivates me are the people around me, honestly. My support system — my coaches, my family, God number one — and everyone that pushes me to be the best that I can.” — Kyla Robinson-Hubbard
Kyla’s long-term goals are to continue to pursue her track career and to take her training to even greater heights. Her other interests include cosmetology after she discovered another hidden talent for doing hair during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Her step-father, Jamaal Buchanan, an attorney at Disparti Law Group, expressed his immense pride: “To say that I am proud of her is an understatement. I believe she was destined to make it to this level. No matter the outcome at the Olympic Trials, myself along with her family are beyond proud of what she has accomplished.”
You can watch Kyla compete in Round 1 of the Women’s 400m Hurdles on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 8:49 PM (CST) on Peacock.
