He stood there, only about four feet tall and shoots from the 3-point line. The ball is up. It soars across the same stadium that hosts players from the Chicago Sky and DePaul Athletics that are three of four times his age. Without even hitting the rim, the balls hits all net and the points are on the board. He is nine years old and made a shot that many professionals have missed so many times. He is one of 50 kids that spend the day at the WinTrust Arena courtesy of Larry Disparti and Disparti Law Group.
Disparti Law Group was excited to partner with the Chicago Sky to open the doors of the WinTrust Arena to more than 50 young basketball stars as part of the “Court of Dreams” program. Kids from the south and west sides of Chicago got the opportunity to play games on a WNBA regulation court, meet players from the Chicago Sky, and watch a game.
“This day is all about the kids. And giving back to the community. When I was these kids age, all I wanted to do was play basketball. Giving them a moment when the can get a glimpse is priceless. I’m so glad they all enjoyed themselves,” says Larry Disparti.
