How much is a ticket from a Chicago speed camera?
After the two-week blackout period, drivers caught speeding between 6 and 10 mph will receive a $35 ticket. Anything above 11 mph will result in a $100 ticket.
When will the cameras be operating?
In school zones, the traffic cameras will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on school days. The speed limit is 20 mph from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. when children will be present.
After 4 p.m., drivers should follow the posted speed limit. In park zones, the cameras will typically run from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
