How to Handle Toy-Related Injuries

Accidents happen, but no child should suffer a toy-related injury due to a manufacturer’s error. Product liability laws hold manufacturers, retailers, and distributors responsible when their defective product causes injuries.

If your child is injured due to a recalled toy, bring them in for medical attention immediately. Be sure to take pictures of the toy and their injuries for your records and be sure to explain to the doctor how the injuries occurred so it is clearly documented in their medical records.

For serious injuries that result in hospitalization or, in the worst case, death you should contact an attorney right away to discuss filing a product liability lawsuit. A product liability lawyer can help you recover damages including hospital bills, treatment costs, and possible lost wages due to you missing work to care for your child.
